  I was thinking about how to keep everyones interest up after next week and I came up with and Idea.  Since all those that aren't within 400 points or in the Top 10 are competing for the 1st place out of the chase.  Why not reset all of their points for the Final ten races to Zero and it would be more of a Consolation Championship.  Personally I think that NASCAR should implement it as well.

That's not a bad idea, but I think it's something we should look at for the offseason.


Right now we'll probably have a lot more teams in the chase then we should have. There won't be much to brag about coming in 20th place or so.


Next year we'll be dropping to probably 300 points behind the leader rather than the 400 points we have this year.


Then we can look at maybe resetting the points for those out of the chase.

 I like Top Dawgs idea. Think the top ten or those within 400 points should make the chase. Yall ain't afeared of a little competition are you? Maybe LD racers have it easier than cup but hey, if if ain't broke don't fix it.( like those boneheads at NASCAR) Guess the chase thing is growing on be though. Makes things interesting and the leader can't "coast" anymore. Keeps everyone honest.


Didn't like this set-up last year, but I'm starting to see NASCAR'S strategy. Super G's position could have something to do with my new found respect for the "chase thang!
