I had some spare time tonight and got bored so I started to play in here and was looking at the Superstar points of the Chase Contenders among others just to see how I stacked up against them and try to help explain why I didn't make the Chase. (that run-on is for you Galaxy) I'm not making excuses, quite the opposite. I just wanted to show how you guys did so much better than I at making the right calls on any given week.
So here goes:
(first number = number of races a superstar was picked, second number = total superstar points, third number = average superstar points per race)
It's still going to be interesting to see of the guys who did make the chase... who has enough good superstars left. Of course in some races, you can throw that all out the window. You can pick a good superstar like Jimmie Johnson or Tony Stewart and they end up having a crap race. Meanwhile someone picks Travis Kvapil and gets 60 points off him. Sometimes it just boils down to the luck of the draw.
only three of the above teams used a Superstar Driver Pick every single race and that would of course drive your average down as opposed to someone who has only used one 15-16 times and thus using only quality drivers.
How about the guys that saved the 97 as a superstar for this race. Great logic he always runs good in New Hampshire. But then the bone head factor comes into account and and you end up with negative points. LOL Oh Yea the bone head factor is the number 10 car. He does something on a avarge of once a week. But then again he was not alone out there today. the number 5 and 9 ( both that I picked) must have eaten lunch with the 10 or maybe its in the water in New Hampshire. No can not be that I was in New Hampshire all weekend drinking the water, well when I brushed my teeth, and I did not run into any one. I did hit my grill with the tractor does that count? Oh well I was just about dead last after race 1 will just have to put the chains on the tractor and climb that dam hill again.
