For next year I have come up with a new idea to our ranking method. Some teams think it's not important to rank drivers and don't on a regular basis... (Speed Demon, Wide Open, Shawnda, Big Country for example). 95% of the time it doesn't matter one way or another, since it's only used when exact picks between two members are used. However, for next year I have come up with an idea that will want to make everyone rank drivers each week.
Out of your 5 picks, you will choose which one you think will be the race winner and rank them first. If that driver does win the race, you'll get some extra points.
The scoring that I'm thinking of, is if that driver comes in first, you'll receive 10 extra points. If that drivers gets a top 5, you'll get 5 extra points, if it's a top 10, you'll get 2 extra points. Not sure yet if those points will be doubled for a superstar pick or not.
I think it's a great idea to make use of the ranking method even more.
i agree, 95% of the time, the ranking is very unneccesary, but unfortunately, it is a needed evil that we have to deal with for the times when there is a tiebreaker.
with the new changes for ranking next year, its a nice idea but yet another thing for you to keep track of when computing the outcome of the race for L.D. members.
Ah insentive....now your talkin! Sorry but your right, just don't see the need right now...being mired in the back of the pack and all. Yeah Atlanta will be ready to go racin!! It's come a long way. Still a few bells and whistles to attend to though.

OK,OK,Ok Lou ill start ranking.......lol. Starting next race. It just always seemed like it was not ever needed. Maybe the insentive will be better, and by the way can we raise the cap a little next year?..........lol.
Well we lowered the cap by 5k this year to tighten things up a bit more for the driver picks. I don't know if we will be raising it again, I think it worked fine this year.
