Busch groups for next year

The council has voted on the change for the Busch groups next year.

The top 30 drivers in the Busch standings are listed on the form. These will be updated every 5 weeks.

Class 1 will be drivers from spots 1-5.

Class 2 will be drivers from spots 6-10

Class 3 will be drivers from spots 3-15

Class 4 will be drivers from spots 16-20

Class 5 will be drivers from spots 21-30

A team can substitute any driver out of the 30 for any driver in the above 5 groups.

However, like this year, you will only be able to pick 2 Buschwackers. That goes for the drivers in the top 5 groups and out of the top 30 in points. A Buschwacker is any Nextel Cup driver in the top 35 in Cup points. Buschwackers in the top 5 groups will be highlighted in yellow.

If a member chooses more than 2 Buschwackers, the highest finishing Buschwacker driver in the race will receive 0 points.

You can take a look at what the picks form for Next year will look like here:

Wow....I love the new set up for the bush series.  Will make it so much easier to find a driver now.  Will it only be one pick from each class unless subing for a bushwacker correct.

You will pick one driver from all 5 groups...........if you want to substitute a driver, that driver must come from outside the Top 30 in Busch Standings.

The rule on Busch-Wackers will remain the same. Only two are allowed per race. A Busch-Wacker is defined by a driver currently in the top 35 in Cup standings at the time of making your picks.
