Robby gets DEI engines? UPDATE: hearing #7 Robby Gordon Motorsports will be using DEI motors for the remainder of the 2005 season [2 races]. No word on 2006 engine plans. Gordon had been using Menard engines all season. Menard also is a primary sponsor for the team in about 25% of the races.(11-8-2005) UPDATE: Robby Gordon, after failing to qualify at Texas, Atlanta and Kansas City, and blowing engines at Dover, Charlotte and Martinsville, is rethinking his whole operation. He's bringing in a new engineer to help crew chief Greg Erwin and a new team manager to help John Story. And Gordon will have new engines here and at Homestead, from the Dale Earnhardt Inc. shop. He finished 8th at Phoenix.........not bad considering he had only cracked the top 16 two times this year (16th at Infineon, and 2nd at the Glen).......a span that also saw him have 7 FTQ's and 9 non-accident DNF's.
