Well all streaks must eventually come to an end and that happened with points leader Lou Demian this past weekend. After setting a new Nationwide streak of 16 weeks, it ended after picking Justin Allgaier. He also saw a 6 week Truck streak end as well. This allows the other players behind him to start gaining ground over the next few weeks, although there's a long way to go.
The high score of the week went to Merline Glenn who scored 69 points. Merline was successful in all three series, bringing her Cup streak to 6 weeks, Nationwide streak to 2 and truck streak to 1. She also gained a spot in the standings to move to 11th. She missed 6 weeks this year, if she had made picks on a consistent basis, she could have been fighting it out at the top.
Ray Perrotta is usually fighting it out in the top 5 of the standings, he's almost there after a strong week. He had the 2nd highest score with 57 points, also successful in all three series. Right now he is tied with Merline for the longest running total streaks in all three series with 9 weeks. He moves up a spot to 6th place.
Troy Wiggins had the 3rd highest score with 55 points. Like the previous two, he was successful in all three series. He holds in 5th place this week.
Next week we'll have two road courses to pick from.
