Watkins Glen was a mixed bag of results especially after heavily picked Marcos Ambrose ran into trouble. Only two members walked away with having success in both the cup and Nationwide race. As a result, most scores were in the 20 point range. The only one to pull away from the rest of the pack was Merline Glenn who stretched her Cup streak to 7 weeks and Nationwide streak to 3. Merline is tied for the 2nd longest Cup streak of the season now. If she can get one more week, she will tie Ed Blackman for the longest Cup streak of the year which is also the longest all-time streak. That has been reached by a number of individuals but is still yet to be broken. Merline scored a total of 65 points this week and climbed 2 spots to 9th place.
2nd and 3rd place were both tied with 30 points each. Both Ray Perrotta and Jessy Turgeon missed with their Cup pick after picking Ambrose but were able to stretch their Nationwide streak to 4 weeks.
