The 2013 season wrapped up at Homestead and Lou Demian was officially crowned as the 2013 Streak to The Finish winner. It's the third time that he's won the title. He was tied with Stephen DiCaprio with two championships each, but he is able to break that tie this year.
It was a big year for Lou who en route to his championship, he was able to break the Nationwide streak after reaching 16 weeks and also set a new weekly points record of 142 points in week 22.
He ended the season with a total of 1812 points and won by 468 points over Randy Cook in 2nd place. It also set a new record for most points scored in a season and largest points margin.
He ended the season quietly after missing two of his picks and added just 16 points in the final week.
Randy Cook finished in 2nd place which was a big improvement over his 12th place finish last year. He put up a good fight over the rest of the players since nobody was able to overtake him. Randy did not win the championship but his 2nd place finish does mean something. Since Lou goes into the LROC series next year because of his Cup championship, Randy will get the invite from his performance here.
Troy Wiggins held in 3rd place with a total of 1270 points. It was much much improved after finishing 17th last year.
The top three spots remained the same after the final race of the year but the rest of the top 10 all changed positions. Greg Eichele took 4th place after moving up a spot and Ed Blackman fell to 5th place.
The highest points total of the week went to Gary Wheat who scored a total of 85 points. He was successful with all three of his picks which included ending his Nationwide streak at 11 weeks. Gary finished the season with 2nd largest Nationwide streak and ended the season in 8th place.
So that's it, thanks to everyone for playing and hopefully you return for next season as well.
