The 2014 season began at Daytona which is usually one of the trickiest tracks to make picks at. Plate races are very difficult to make picks for but three members escaped with successfully making picks in all three races and as a result start out on top of the standings. Those members were Ray Perrotta, Greg Eichele and newcomer Jeff Nieser.
Ray had the highest score of the week with 44 points. His picks consisted of Earnhardt, Keselowski and Kyle Busch. Ray finished outside the top 10 in the standings the past 2 years but finished 4th in 2011 and 2nd in 2010.
Greg Eichele finished in 2nd with 37 points, he had a good season last year after finishing in 4th place. He'd like to gain a few more spots this year.
Jeff Nieser is a rookie in the truck series and the streak to the finish this year. He has a good start after scoring a total of 31 points.
The Nationwide series race was the hardest to pick for, these top three were the only ones successful in picking. The Truck series was the easiest, there was just one miss. That turned out to be Hurricane Sidwell who actually missed in all three races. Hopefully he has better luck next week at Phoenix.
