As expected, it was very difficult to pick at Talladega, what wasn't expected was that not one single person was able to pick a top 10 Cup driver. Everyone is on the same level on the cup side after all picks fell outside the top 10. Nobody was even close... the highest pick was Michael Waltrip in 25th place.
The Nationwide race was a little kinder but there were a number of misses there as well. 9 of the 16 picks were successful which resulted in some low scores for the week. There are some long running Nationwide streaks, which helped some members to higher scores.
Greg Eichele stretched his to 9 weeks which is the longest running streak and ties Ray Perrotta for the longest streak of the season. He scored a total of 51 points and closed within one point of 3rd place in the standings.
The second highest score was 46 points and that was tied by five members: Dean Higley, Gary Wheat, Jessy Turgeon, Lou Demian and Ray Perrotta.
Ray has now closed within 12 points of Randy Cook who zeroed out this week. Randy saw his 7 week Nationwide streak end and he's also seen his large points lead disappear as well.
