Just to let everyone know, Thursday the Pt people had me bring the car over to the nursing home and we worked with dad on getting in and out of the car. They said he did well and if we wanted to we could take him to dinner on friday night. So I left work early and got home so I could cleanup and switch vehicels, and get back to the home. We signed him out and went to the church for the fishfry(lent) and he did well, slow, with a walker but well. By the time we got back to the home he was so tired he could hardly get back in bed. But at least now he knows he has more to look forward to than just that home. Soon maybe he will be back in his HOME that he built, with his hands and sweat, forty yrs ago. So for everyone who said prayers over these last 9 months, I THANK YOU AGAIN!! Marty
Tomorrow at noon dad is going to have his new hip put in, so prolonged sitting will not be so painfull anymore. Hope everyones families are well. Snow flurries in the burg today!!. And the Pens beat the rangers, could be a playoff year? we shall see. GN marty
