Gary Wheat does it! He takes over the Cup series longest point streak and sets a new record of 11 weeks. Gary picked Clint Bowyer who had a great run at Sonoma which easily extended his streak. Luckily for Gary he had the chance to set the new record at Sonoma. If he had to wait an extra week then he would have had a much tougher task at Daytona. He'll see if he can extend it to 12 weeks but if not then at least he'll have the new record which should last some time.
Gary was also able to extend his Truck streak to 9 weeks which sets another new record for the longest Truck streak this season. Two more weeks and he'll be able to tie the all-time record of 11 weeks. He missed with his Xfinity streak but so did most people this week since Hornish was heavily picked. Once again he had the high score of the week with 113 points and added to his points lead. He currently leads by a rather hefty margin of 369 points.
Finishing in a distant 2nd place was Lou Demian who was successful in both the Cup and Truck series after picking Bowyer and Briscoe.
Terry Smith finished in 3rd place with 59 points. He missed out with his Truck pick but was one of the few people who was successful in the Xfinity series after picking Elliott Sadler.
