Pittsburgh gets the Fish on Opening day at home, in Primetime, in their building. Thursday night on NBC this year.
Then its Manning vs. Manning on Sunday night in Giants Stadium. Tags gave me a call and asked me if it would be better to have the Manning brothers on Sunday night or Monday night. I told him the audience would be much larger on Sunday night on NBC then Monday night on ESPN and that he should think of a double header for Monday.
So, on Monday night. Minnesota will travel to Washington to take on the Redskins at 7pm. Then at 10:15 it will be San Diego at the black hole in Oakland. Nice job Tags on your way out to retirement. Don't let the door hit you in the ass.
Also, for you cowgirls fans, they will travel to Jacksonville for their first loss on the season at 4:15 on Sunday. Only 165 days until kickoff!!!!!
OK, I'll wake you up at the all star break when your Durham Bulls are 10 games behind first in Major League Picks. One less team for me to worry about in my division.
Personally, I hate these Thursday night games to "kickoff" the season. NFL was always about Sundays, and now they are trying to be like the CFL with many games during the midweek. I know it means more games to watch, but it would be nice to see the second half of a game before I fall asleep.
You're right! I should be at least ten games outta first by the time the all-star break rolls around. I think this year I'm gonna let little steve make my picks, that should be a riot.
I think it was Deacon Jones who said that the NFL will be too diluted and that the product should be special and kept on Sunday's and Monday nights. He's right. I don't want to think about trying to get off from work on a Thursday night so I can watch a game on TV.
