Both Kevin Sullivan and Ray Perrotta were able to tie the all-time Cup streak of 10 weeks. Its a rare feat when the an all-time streak is beaten or tied by two different players in the same week. Kevin Sullivan becomes the third player to do so and Ray Perrotta has now done it two times. It took many years for us to finally get past 9 weeks, now it's been done four times in the last two seasons. Now both of them will be competing against each other to see if they can get one more week and start a new record. The hard part is that they are going to have to do it at Talladega. It always seems that these broken records are always done on a restrictor plate race.
It was Ray Perrotta who ended up having the top score of the week with 75 points. In addition to his record tying streak, he was also successful in the Xfinity race while Kevin missed with his pick.
Kevin tied with Ron Blackman for the 2nd most points of 57. He was able to extend his lead over Gary Wheat who he now leads by 70 points.
