Pre-season games mean exactly nothing. but if you want to look at Pre-season standings:....
Mets: 14-13
Braves: 10-16
If they 'mean exactly nothing', then why are you posting how many wins each team has? I agree, they do mean nothing, but you will see just like all the other years, Braves will start out slow and by All-Star break, will be in the lead and walking away with the division in August. Just like every year.
And then choke in the first round in the playoffs! Just like all the other years....
Better to choke in the PLAYOFFS then to be sitting at home in September with one of the biggest payrolls in all of baseball. The Braves are consistant contenders for the playoffs, the Mets show up once every twenty years or so. That's what they get for trying to run their team like the Knicks!!!!
now we are talking about attendance????? The only time I hear that argument is with Chicago fans. Cubs can only brag on their misguided fans and Sox players still have a chip on their shoulder because they win the title and no one cares.......even the Diamondbacks have more fans than the southside (outside of their respective areas).
You're right wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too early to be thinking, caring, arguing or even watching baseball. We got the final 4 this weekend, men's and women's. More racing this weekend. The weather is getting nicer and pretty soon Sam's Summer Ale will be on the shelf.
Yeah I know I have to cut it out before you guys think I'm an alcoholic......Actually, I gave up beer for Lent and this vodka is so rough to swallow. So, if you see that The Boston Beer Co. lost money in the 1st quarter, then you know why.
sorry Lou, but if you look back at the whenever the Mets are 'on a roll' or are 'tearing it up', you will see that Atlanta almost always is going through a slump or off to a bad start.
If the only time you look good is when the top team is suffering, how much are you really proving yourself? At least Florida puts together win streaks at the same time as Atlanta.
So, what you are saying is the only way the Mets can look good is if Atlanta looks good??
Does that make sense??
It's very very early in the season and anything can happen, I just think the Mets are gonna do very well this year even if a number of people on this board don't give them credit.
