it was another successful week in the streak to the finish and streaks are starting to mount now. There were 4 misses in the Truck series (from those who made the deadline on time), 3 misses in the Cup series and everyone was perfect in the Xfinity series again.
Once again it was Ron Blackman who finished with the most points, 99 of them. It's actually the largest weekly score this season so far. He now has a 2 week Cup streak, 10 week Xfinity streak and 3 week Truck streak. He closes in even closer to Janet Sebern and is now just 45 points behind. He'll have the opportunity to overtake her next week if he can keep his streaks going.
Jessy Turgeon finished in 2nd place with 90 points. He now has an 11 week Xfinity streak going, now the longest of any streak this season. He has two weeks to go to see if he can tie last year's longest streak of 13 weeks. A lot further to go before he can try and break the all-time record of 16 weeks. He gained one spot in standing this week, moving to 3rd place.
Terry Howell finished in 3rd place with 89 points. He now has a 9 week truck streak which is the longest in the league this season. It ties last year's longest Truck streak set by Gary Wheat. If he can hold on for two more weeks then he will tie the all-time record which is held by three different players.
I remember when I once set the original record of 15 weeks in the Xfinity series. Stood a long time but now I'm really looking forward to getting it back!
