Let's try to get more people involved here, everyone post how you feel about certain drivers....
Who are you favorites? Which ones do kinda like... Which ones do you wish would blow an engine every race?
My favorites:
1. Dale Jr. No surprise there
2. Martin Truex Jr. It's tough to root between the two of them, but if either one were going for the win, I'd rather have Jr. take it, and have Truex follow right behind.
Other drivers I kind of like too:
1. Tony Stewart. Didn't care much for Smoke in his first couple of years, but he grew on me.
2. Carl Edwards. Great attitutude, always looks like he's having a blast out there. Plus the flip!
3. Mark Martin. Classiest driver in the field
4. Kevin Harvick. Under that #29 paint job, lies the black #3. You have to root for him too.
5. Michael Waltrip. Only because he's a former DEI driver, and he's just great to listen to in an interview.
Drivers I can't stand:
Gordon, Johnson.... nuff said.
Busch & Busch. Dumb and Dumberer
Most of the other drivers I don't have that much opinion on, meaning I don't care too much if they do well or not. So who do you like or hate?
#24 Jeff Gordon -- Forever! #48 Jimmie Johnson -- Well, d'oh (If you like Gordon, You like Jimmie ) #25 Brian Vickers -- His time will come! #5 Kyle Busch -- Well, he will be a champion some day Others: #9 Kasey Kahne -- This might just be his year! #99 Carl Edwards -- Always Happy! #6 Mark Martin -- If you don't like him, then seriously, who DO you like? #26 Jamie McMurray -- This Roush thing isn't working good yet, but soon! #55 Michael Waltrip -- He's just a wicked funny guy! Fun to listen to. #2 Kurt Busch -- I am warming up to him...
Haters: #8 Dale Earnhardt Jr -- "You're and Earnhardt? Oh, well here is a NASCAR race car!" #1 Martin Truex Jr -- He is a Jr fan #20 Tony Stewart -- No reason, I just don't like him #16 Greg Biffle -- I just don't like him either #12 Ryan Newman -- Too many poles, buddy!

So just because someone's father was a good driver, that's a reason to hate the son? Of course if your father is one of the most popular drivers in NASCAR, you are going to get a break. However, Jr. has proven himself to be a great driver. You can't tell me that if Jeff Gordon had a son that was on his way to becoming a great racer that he wouldn't get a break?
I guess Matt Martin should be hated too because he will most likely be signed by Roush once he gets a little older.
Dale Jr - Contrary to popular belief, he did work his way up, running in lower circuits and earning his stripes. Current Restrictor Plate King, but still a factor every week when the team puts a car under him that can win. He's also a savvy business man, with his own production team, a Busch team, a Hooter Pro-Cup team and other such indeavors.
Kevin Harvick - He's a trouble maker and a loud mouth. Just what nascar needs to balance out the yes-men and clones. He can also turn a wheel pretty good.
Martin Truex - Up and coming driver. Worked hard in the Busch North to get to where he is today.
Tony Stewart - Best driver in the world right now. Hes won in almost everytype of car.
Kasey Kahne - Smart Driver with a great future. Future Cup Champion.
Drivers I dislike
Jimmie Johnson - I used to like JJ before he began to be so conceited. I've also caught him on TV and from the stands laughing, joking and screwing around during the pre-race prayer and National Anthem. Un-forgiveable. Still a great driver and always a threat.
Jeff Gordon - He used to be my favorite when DW was winding down and Jr. was still running at Myrtle Beach. Then he started winnning and winning and whining. Great when he is near the front, but cannot work through traffic, especially at Talladega.
Dale Jarrett - All those years on ESPN and CBS all we heard from Ned was "Dale Jarrett this, Dale Jarrett that". Seriously, there were 42 drivers out there better than him. Stop Ned, Stop.
Jason Leffler - He has Bobby Hamilton Jr. Syndrome. 6 ft ego. 4 ft body. Needs to stay in Busch because he can't see over the steering wheel in a cup car. Want evidence? Look at how he did in the 11 car last year vs how Terry Labonte and Denny Hamlin did.
Michael Waltrip - Worthless. Nothing but mouth. If he was any kind of driver he would have done great in 2005 with Dale Jr's cars and crew. Nothing. He needs to come up with an exit plan and start a driver development program. Career before DEI - nothing, Career after DEI nothing. Whats in between? The damn best years of his life, and they are gone. I hope Toyota knows what they are getting themselves into.
Jimmie is my favorite. I was a huge SR fan until he died on my mom's birthday, so I wanted to pick a new driver. It just so happen that I was in the middle of rebuilding my house and I just went to lowe's the day before so Jimmie was it. Still can't believe SR gone.
I like just about everyone except Kurt,Newan&Robbie Gordon.
Dale Jr and Truex............well documented previously why; no need to go further.
Stewart......he is a great driver and his humor off track is hilarious!
B. Labonte........he's been in a slump but he is just a classy guy (J. Burton would fall under this heading as well.)
the idiots:
J.J. obviously........he really hasnt shown me anything......his crew chief and owner consistently give him top notch equipment and he hasn't lived up to the hype..........(this doesn't mean I dont like Gordon, I actually do, I just cant root for him)
Jeff Green........why is he still on the circuit?
Kevin Harvick.......great off track persona, but on the pavement, he is a bust overall.
M. Waltrip........retire already, you got to 650 starts.......go be a broadcaster.
J.J. Yeley.........I liked him at first when we saw he had talent, but I've seen too many interviews of him being an ass for me to like him.
flip-flopped:
J-Mac, I used to like him but he has become a bust........maybe he will turn it around, but its too late for me to root for him.
Newman, back when he got eight wins a few years back, I hated him, but that may have just been because he was winning......the more I watch him racing and in his interviews, he grows on me.
if my guys wreck out:
I like to see Kenseth or Hamlin do good, great personalities and friends of Jr and Stewart.

Jr. All The Way. DEI is still in the BIG picture, a small shop. that does sound weird but its true. When your up against the big three. So I like All DEI drivers and JR. motorsports. Gibbs Racing Drivers. O and dont forget He's the King of Paducah IR.
"Current Restrictor Plate King"... please explain this one. His last plate win? When was that? Dale Jarrett has won a plate race since then.. come on now.. be serious.
