It was one of the closest battles for the Streak to the Finish championship which went down to the final week between Stephen DiCaprio and Ray Perrotta. Both players struck out in the truck race, as did everyone else. Both were successful in the Xfinity race and Stephen was able to gain 14 points on Ray. If Ray had missed with his Cup pick and Stephen was successful, there would have been a change at the top. Stephen was successful after picking Ryan Blaney but Ray was able to hold on after picking Larson. In the end, Ray held on by just 4 points.
It's the fourth championship for Ray, he won in 2014, 2016 and 2019. With the win he'll get a spot on next year's LROC series along with an Amazon giftcard.
Stephen DiCaprio came close to winning a 5th championship but falls just short and finishes 2nd. There was no change in the top 5 in the final week. Dean Higley finishes 3rd in the standings, Al Allison 4th and Lou Demian 5th.
It was Stephen and Ray that also finished 1st and 2nd this week while Ron Blackman had the 3rd highest score of 42 points.
So once again congrats to Ray Perrotta for the championship and thanks to everyone for playing this season. It was announced that the streak to the finish would be discontinued after this year but there could be a possibility of it being run by someone else in a different format, we'll see what happens.
