11 games behind.. I love it. The reign of the Braves are over.... enjoy the new era.
You know there are a few teams who can talk some trash over the Braves the 15 yrs, like the Yanks and Marlins but certainly not the Mets, what have they done the last 15yrs? Even if you go back 35yrs they still have not come within shouting distance compared to the Braves. In fact over the last few yrs they have been the laughing stock of MLB.....
So what exactly have the Mets accomplished? Leading the div in June?
Oh past is past uh? Then we can all agree SR was WASHED up his last 5 yrs, no titles and 8 wins in 5yrs? Thats washed up You can talk all the smack you want but Gordon could have retired 5yrs ago and he still would have accomplished more than tiny E ever will. In fact Gordon has twice as many wins as any active driver.
Well not only are they leading the divison, but they have the best record in the NL. Actually they could have the best record in both divisions, but Detroit has played 2 more games.
As for Sr... yes his best days were behind him in his last few years, I won't argue with that. However he did record 7 championships. I don't think Jeff Gordon has any championship years left in him. He will never match Earnhardt and Petty in championships. Maybe someday some driver will, but it won't be Gordon. Face it, he's in his declining years now.
Why are "all" tiny e fans obsessed with Super G? Could it be jealousy? I think yes, after all 4 Championships to nill. I think tiny fans should realize tiny is not and won't ever be Daddy e. As for the Braves, well they're pretty bad this year. It had to happen sooner or later. I'll take "ALL" bets though that no team, especially the Metropolitons (nice sports name by the way) will EVER do what the Braves have done. Mean while the Mets haven't won anything yet. Stay tuned. They do look strong "this year".

I am an Earnhardt Jr fan and could care less about Gordon. He is a great driver with 4 championships and 73 wins.
Jr. has 0 cup championships, 17 wins and 2 Busch Championships.
This is Jr.'s 7th Cup Season. At this point in Gordon's 7th season, he had 45 wins and 3 championships. He also did not have to deal with his Superstar Father's On-track death, the burden of becoming the Face of Nascar Overnight, a team in serious turmoil and an ungrateful, spoiled and selfish teammate. Not to mention the round robin tournament called the #1 car.
Are people jealous that Gordon has had so much success? Of course they are, but not all people that are jealous are Jr. fans and not all Jr. fans are jealous of Gordons success.
Mets are doing a great job this year. You better hope and pray that it turns into something special like reaching the NLCS or World series because anything less would be "Brave"-like. Its not even the all-star break yet but you can have your fun, for now......

let's see... 10 games under .500, 7 game losing streak, 14 games behind.... It's great! I just wonder what kind of fire sale the Braves are gonna have by the trade deadline. Sorry, the Braves team that you have cheered on for the past number of years is now kaput.

Lou, I guess the most honest answer is "we're crying in our beers". The Braves are horrible this year. I mean who would have thought every single thing would go bad at once? Atlanta news is already blowing off the division title (LOL) and talking wildcard. I don't see that happening. Only 2 starting pitchers, zero bullpen, and a couple of seasoned position players on the team. It's pretty sad here in Atlanta. Its been a hell of a ride though and was glad to have lived here and been a part of it. Don't see a streak like that happening again in my lifetime anyway. Go Falcons!

you've had your fun.........'yeh the Mets are great!, we have a chance this year'............now lets get back to the real baseball world where the Braves come back and crush your hopes yet again. all we need is middle relief and its coming, Braves are shopping as we speak/type.
lol, glad you are back Matt! All the other Braves fans here seem to have given up hope already. At least there's one Braves fan that I can laugh at who isn't living in reality.
Please, even if your braves do get their act together by some miracle, the most they can hope for is 2nd place in the NL East since they will never ctach the Mets this year.
