Next year there will be some changes in order to be considered to take part in the LROC Series. For starters, no longer will the team owner or President get automatic entries, they will have to earn their way in. Other qualifications have changed as too.
For Lucky Dog Racing, here are the qualifications:
1. 2006 Cup Champion
2. 2006 Cup Runner-up Champ
3. Last years Cup Champ or Most Cup races won in 2006.
4. 2006 Busch Champion
5. 2006 Busch Runner-up Champ
6. Last year's Busch Champ or Most Busch races won in 2006 or LROC champ replacement will go here.
An opposing team owner can not qualify for a position. Since Greg Miller is the 2005 Champion, we will use most Cup races won this year. If the team that wins the most races is either the Cup champion or runner-up, the third highest finishing team in the standings will get it.
We will have 3 Cup reps and 3 Busch reps. If a member falls both under one of the Busch qualifications and 1 of the Cup qualifications, the Cup one will be used and the next highest person in the final standings for the Busch Series will be selected. Confused yet?
Any Lucky Dog member can qualify under the Cool Pool if they are racing there. If they qualify in both leagues, they can decide which one to race under.
Here are the qualifications for the Cool Pool:
1. Cup Segment #1 winner
2. Cup Segment #2 winner
3. Cup Segment #3 winner
4. 2006 Cup Champion
5. 2006 Truck Champion
6. Most Cup races won in 2006 or LROC champ replacement will go here.
If a segment winner wins more than one segment or is Champion, the next highest person in the final standings will be selected. Same goes if they won the most races as well. If the truck champion qualifies under any of the Cup catagories, they will default under the Cup one, and the next highest truck team will be selected.
In addition, the winner of the 2006 LROC Series will be selected into the following year and will take the place of one of the 6 catagories in either team. If he already is in under one of the catagories for the Cool Pool... which is most likely who the LROC champ will be from, there will be no problem. However, if he is not under a catagory yet, the 6th one... most races won in 06 will be removed and the LROC defending champ will take its place. For Lucky Dog, the previous years Busch champ, or most races won in the Busch Series will be replaced.
In additon, either league's owner/president has the right to refuse a member's entry into the Series no matter how well they did in the league. Since Dan Kowalski did not submit his picks for the previous race and hurt his legue, he will be denied entry into future LROC seasons.
