The issue with the Prez changes his picks after qualifying has sparked many email to me regarding the policies that apply sometimes and other times not. Some have no foundation. But I did get an email from a member who has been banned from the LROC series for missing his picks. This person has NEVER missed a deadline in 2 yrs but now has been banned. It seems the VP has no jurisdiction in the LROC, however I am a participant and would like an explanation. Both Co Prezs have informed me that no where is it written that a missed pick results in a banishment. One Co Prez is saying he should not be banned another is saying he is banned.
The recent spat we have been having, we have heard things like " I have a life outside of this" , its not the end of the world.
We are now banning a member who currently stand as our #1 driver and has only missed picks one time due to a family situation.
As a MEMBER of the LROC I would like some clarification....
For starters, LROC is a private joint league run by Greg and myself. It is also a totally separate league.
A person's consistency of submitting picks faithfully in either series has no bearing in the LROC league. Totally different rules there, totally different league.
A President/owner has the right to refuse anyone entry into the league for whatever reason they deem necessary. If a player does not submit their picks in time not only do they hurt themself in the series, they hurt the entire league that they represent.
LROC is a race on champions. A player who does not bother to submit picks is not a champion.
As a member of Lucky Dog who this team has represented , I am outraged by the fact the one of the best will not be represented by Lucky Dog. I am also very disappointed that ONE of the The LD Prez will not show any leeway for a memeber who had a family situation arise.
I also am outraged that the President has shown not announce this banishment. Sending an email saying everyone was pissed at him for not submitting the picks. I understand things come up so I know I was not pissed.
The following was taken from the LROC site, it mentions the failed picks but no banishment. I also have a copy of the rules that show no such action.
The lowest Cool Pool driver was Melissa Lambert. Dawn Kowalski failed to submit any picks so he came in last with 0 points.
Maybe you should check the emails that were sent to league members... funny how other people knew about this, but you didn't. Aren't you in the series?
In about the LROC Series, it mentions that a league owner can ban a player it they hurt the league.
I spoke to Dan about this at the time and he was very unapologetic to me and towards the league. I would have shown leeway if he offered a sincere apology, but he did not. I'm sure I still have the emails somewhere.
Let's see how long did this happen ago? three months now.... still nothing in all that time. Funny how this comes up now.

Well this is a subject that I have had full knowledge of since it happened. I told Dan that if he were to bring this up in any form that I would express my opinion. He wished to forget it because he felt it was a waste of time. So, I respected his wishes and left it alone.
Until JJR decided to email Octane instead of the other way around. Then he posted it all in here after Octane again said he didn't want to bring it up.
Dan missed his picks because something came up.........much like alot of us have at one point or another. Then Lou sent very derogatory emails to Dan. He then learned we was not eligible to participate in next year's LROC because of this one time occurence, after he read it on the LROC main page.
This is something that I whole heartedly don't agree with Lou on, but I'm not part of the LROC, so I can only voice my opinion. Lou, if you need copies of the emails, Dan still has them.
Again, High Octane never wished this to become public in the boards, although that is partly the reason why he doesn't feel welcome in the boards.
JJR, even after he leaves the league, we still have to put up with all the compost he left behind.
Sorry Matt, have to disagree with you there... I didn't send anything "derogatory" to Dan.
I also have the emails, and I checked them over. I simply told him that there were a number of people who were mad at him that he didn't make his picks and that he let down the league.
All he said was something about not being able to get online during the week and didn't offer much of an explanation or any kind of apology.
If he had explained himself a little better then I would have been more sympathetic. To this day I still don't know what happened, but oh well... the past is the past. I don't want to go on with this either, just thought I'd explain my half a little better.

lou spoke to me with a email titled "Thanks" and it said how i let the league down and everyones pissed at me and im suppose to be sincere? none of this matters anyways i dont want back in LROC I just dont want to be made out as an unapologetic ass
