Listen, I have always thought Shawn was good for this league for the same reason he made a stink last week. That being said, after he didn't get his way, he started acting childish, much like a team did last year who also got a board suspension. Fact is, he quit the league, no one forced him out. He chose to leave for his own reasons.
That being said, there may or may not be JJR supporters out there who feel the same way as he did and now may think everything is not on the up and up. I assure you it is and I will post an email that I sent to a team who had some questions about the subject to further explain it all so that no one thinks anything shady is going on.
I agree with you completely. He had every right and a responsibility to bring the issue to council. No one doubted that, Lou didn't like it, but the rest of us understood it. However, everyone voted and the issue should have died right there. In the past, I have come up on the losing end of issues brought before council, and I let it die, if I'm in the minority and and it was voted on, that should be that. There was never an incident where the two of them clashed so drastically or really even a need for it in the past so far as I know about. Bottomline about the council vote, we voted, its over. I can't speak for any of the other members, but for myself I think cheating is a serious charge and you should be prepared to back it up. Simply meaning, I think it was more that Shawn had to prove Lou cheated more than Lou had to prove he was innocent. I hope you see what I mean there. The only proof that was offered was that Lou posted his picks in the 'message board' late. This was never an obligation to him (hindsight maybe it should have been), so we can't call him a cheater when he was never required to post his picks in the first place. I actually brought forth the vote to have Lou show his picks to someone before qualifying. He picked me and no council member, including Shawn, disagreed. He even went a step further and submitted his picks through the weekly pick form and then forwarded his confirmation email to me. I hope this clears up any questions you may still have. Well as I've stated before, this is America and thats what we do. We vote!! Obviously thats good enough for me. Although..I didn't get that letter soo..must be another supporter. I don't support the way he handled it though being a board member and all (VP). I agree with you bringing it up was a natural thing to do. I will miss him and his Super G support. Its a loss for Lucky Dog as a whole. Maybe we can all learn something here. Still my only question is how does anyone know exactly when said picks were made? Was Lou really late just updating or not? No disrespect to Lou or anyone but nobody can "really" check that. Guess we have to take his word. ( I suppose I would have if I had been involved) Anyway its over now. Again just my thoughts on the matter. Hope I didn't piss you off with this Lou. Its not my intent.

When a college/university has a problem with a player, they voluntarily penalyze themselves or the player. (At least some do!) They don't wait until the NCAA investigates.
This issue should have been done in an analgous way- the Council's vote could have been avoided.
" Hey Toozy, or is it Lou's Stoozgie? The subject is VP supporters. While your at it why dont you ask Lou to post Oceansides picks as well? And for the record I am not regretting anything, I do not wish to be a part of league that allows the Prez to change his picks after the deadline, you cheated by allowing him to do that" JJR
