Why was Galaxy Incorporated removed from the league this week? He missed submitting his picks this week as was removed. He has also missed picks at the Crown Royal 400 (May 6th) and at the Neighborhood Excellence 400 (June 4th). That is (3) times total in (6) months time.
The rules are clear in this case:
The league will only dismiss a member for two reasons. If a member does not submit their picks for 3 weeks in a row they will automatically be removed from the league. If a member misses a total of 5 weeks of not sumbitting picks they will also be removed.
A member may also be removed from the league if they are found to be guilty of any detrimental actions that affect the league. This would include attempted sabotage of a league member's picks or trying to co-erce other members to leave the league. These actions will be discussed and voted on by the Lucky Dog Planning & Leadership Council to determine the fate of that member's status in the league. The President also has the right to deny anyone entry into the league or to re-sign the following year for whatever reason he sees fit.
After you good buddy Galaxy Inc. threw me out of his league, I asked him if he was leaving my league as well since he didnt submit his picks. He chose not to answer me, so I told him if he doesn't let me know, I will take it as a yes.
He would have to email me his intention to remain in the league.
Why you're at it, you might want to ask about the league removal policy in the PFL as well.
So let me get this straight, you wrote him an email saying that since he missed his picks, he needed to state his intentions for the remainder of the year? Is this protocol for when a player misses his/her picks? Was there a deadline on this email? Is this outlined in the rules? This was the first time since June he missed picks, and only the thrid time this year he missed them, correct? The rules say you can miss submitting picks 5 times and up to 3 times in a row.
Furthermore, although John and I exchange instant messages and emails, we are not what one would consider "Good Buddies". We have never met in person and have never spoken on the telephone. Our online converations have always been about fantasy sports.

nope, the new rules went into effect after he was removed from the league. It was John's decision to carry his troubles from this league over to the PFL. I reciprocated it back to him.
When did you send him the email asking him to state his intentions for the remainder of the season? What was the deadline on this email? How many other teams have you requested this information from?
This is taken from the rules in the "Lateness of Picks Provision":
The maximum amount of times a team can miss sending their picks in during the entire season is 5. After the 4th time of not sending picks in, a letter will be sent to the member warning that they will be removed from the league the next time they miss.
Seems to me like Galaxy Inc. has another race that they can miss before the 4th miss letter can be sent. Am I incorrect on this?
He's leaving at the end of the season anyway. It's not like he's in the chase or anything.... if I did let him finish the season I wouldn't let him back on the board.... because thats my choice.
If you are following the league rules, he should be eligible for the race this week. If he misses this week, he should be sent the 4th miss letter. If he fails to submit picks the next race, he should be removed.
i sent him an email and let him know that he will remain in the league for the final 3 races. I will show more respect to him than he has shown me in his league.
I will tell the person that was to replace him they will have to wait until the end of the season.
Now to address him not being allowed on the board.
Per the rules:
The President monitors the board as he sees fit. Firstly, a verbal warning will be emailed to the member to stop the personal harassment. If it continues, a week long suspension from the board will be instituted along with a month long probationary period. During the period, if the member continues the harassment against the individual, a long term suspension will be instituted. This ban could last anywhere from a month to the rest of the season depending on the severity on the harassment. A member WILL NOT be kicked out of the league for any behavior on the boards.
I don't see where he can be kept from the boards without due process. Doesn't this violate his League Members Rights? What purpose does it serve to have rules if they are only followed when it best suits you?
I monitor the boards as I see fit. I see it fit that he not be allowed on the boards for his remaining time in the league, and that's all I'm saying about that.
In my humble opinion, which I can post per my League Members rights, the rules have once again been interpreted to best serve the needs of the League President.
I have sent an email to Galaxy Inc. requesting payment of $5.00 for the 2006 season of Lucky Dog Racing. We originally worked out a deal that would allow each of us to play in each other's leagues for free, but that agreement was broken after he removed me from his league.
Therefore, If payment is not received by Friday's deadline, he will be removed from the league.

You've always been cool with me, but your buddy John is a piece of work. Don't take my word for it, get into the league archives and look for yourself. If I paid for and ran this league I'd have kicked his arse to the curb a long time ago. Quite frankly allowing Shawn to use his LD handle and password should show you something about his character. That in its self in my mind is a major violation of league polocies. If thats not in the rules it will be brought up L8r you can bet.
