Ok... I go to Best Buy during my lunch hour today and when I get there I see like 8 tents set up outside and a bunch of people around them. I thought ok, maybe they are doing some kind of promotion outside. Wrong.... these people are lined up already for the Playstation 3 system. The game doesn't come out until Friday!
You have to be kidding me.... what sort of people camp out for 2 days outside a store just to buy a video game system? Some people have been camping out for 3-4 days in some areas! You couldn't get me to do that unless you paid me a lot of money. Hey, I want to eventually get one but I can definately wait awhile. I will wait until they are readily available in the store, wait until the price drops a little too.... they are like $700! Also I hear the initial units have a problem with running some PS2 games, so they will have to fix that.
What's really gonna be funny is that we have some nasty weather coming in tomorrow... high winds and a lot of rain. I should drive back over there and laugh at them.
Of course.... I have a feeling most of these people will be selling those systems at ebay for over a grand at least. Still, you wouldn't catch me camping out for days just to make a few hundred dollars profit.
