One of the issues that was debated upon during our recent council meeting was the picks deadline. Turns out a number of people like the way we have it now and don't want to see it changed, but there are also a few out there that want to see it before practice. I would have gone either way, it didn't bother me much. Looking at practice speeds didnt help me much this year as I had my lowest finish in three years. A couple of council members voted not to change it, however my vote went to change it, contrary to what some people might want to believe. It will be easier for me with the earlier deadline. I can get picks up on Thursday night and not have to constantly keep checking who is sending their picks in right before the deadline while I'm at work. The deadline next year will be Thursday at 10:00pm EST unless otherwise noted for some reason. The Daytona 500 is handled differently, so it will go into effect for the 2nd race of the year.
