I wait all year for this to roll around... it's one good thing to look forward to during the offseason. I usually walk away with a truckload of diecasts, so I'm sure this will be no different.


On my shopping list: all 1/24 size cars - Dale Jr's 2006 Menards Busch win car.... his 250th start car.  Truex's and Menards's Earnhardt tribute cars. Maybe Paul Menard's standard Busch car, I don't have any of his yet. Just picked up Truex's 2006 Oreo/Ritz Busch car, so I don't have to worry about getting that one. Probably pick up a bunch of Dale Sr. diecasts too.


Oh, and of course getting a Denny Hamlin car and having him sign it there.

 Sounds cool! My buddy is in Detroit right now at the car show. Want a rip-off this year! All electric and solar! Let me rush right out and get one! haha. I'll stick with my truck.

Just got back from the show (and losing more money in Atlantic City casinos)


A little less vendors than previous years, so I was a little disappointed there, but still walked off with a very nice haul.


This year I picked up: (All 1/24 sizes...)


Dale Jr's 2006 Menard's Daytona Busch Win


Dale Jr's Richmond Win (Complete with shredded tire)


Dale Jr's 250 Consecutive start car


Martin Truex Jr's Bass Pro Shops/3 Days Of Dale Talladega Busch Win


Martin Truex Jr's 2005 Busch Champion car


Paul Menard's 2006 Menard's car


Paul Menard's 2006 Menard's/3 Days of Dale car


Dale Earnhart's '77 Belden Asphalt car


 


And.... Denny Hamlin Pocono Raced win car autographed by Denny Hamlin in Person. Nice guy... very friendly!!


Also met Derrike Cope as well and received an autograph. Also a very nice guy.


I'll have pics up eventually. Still have to get Speedy's up and Earnhardt Junkie just sent me a whole bunch today which I haven't even looked at yet.

How much did you have to give for the 250 starts car? I noticed its a little pricey right now, which I'm sure won't go down.

I found a great price of $50.00 for it. Most of the other vendors had it around $65.00... not sure why this one person had it that cheap.

Yeah, pretty much. Definately not a very flashy guy... Kinda shy and just happy to be there. I couldn't help but thinking aboutt 10 years ago he was the kid trying to get driver's autographs.... now he's doing the signings.
